Anyway, basically it showed what a headache it would be to try to figure out which posts were in reply to what (with the way this place spawns randomness and silliness) if there was only one page per thread instead of this tree-like structure. Also it would be very difficult to link to a specific post somewhere in the middle of such a thread. Plus if it's a popular thread with a lot of replies or someone posts a large picture, it'd take ages to load it.... and you'd have to reload it every time there's a reply, in case it's something interesting, then it might turn out that the addition is just a simple one-word message, but you can't tell at a glance with phpbb....
