Of course the problem still exists, that's like saying "the past no longer exists when time has progressed beyond it"....
I didn't see anything impressive in that post you linked to, what marvel of modern engineering was it that I was supposed to be dazzled by? The ability to post links (like you just did)? The huge, all-consuming and ever present "just a couple of poems and two dozen pictures" signatures? Oh no, you must of course be referring to the ability to repeat large chunks of text from others so you have to go through it all again even though it's probably on the same page and you just read it already? Well, if you really, really, really can't be bothered to use the most logical, easily understandable, straight-forward approach and reply to each of them directly, how about a little good old fashioned copy&paste - apparantly, since that's a round about way to avoid the problem, the problem no longer exists :P
The tooltip window sounds like an interesting idea, I admit. Of course, there are people who find it extremely annoying when things suddenly pop out of the page if they happen to leave the mouse hovering for a nanosecond....
