I shall refrain from going into detail, since my letter says it all. Since the board is running slow, I'll post it all here. Note that the letter is postdated for tomorrow. This actually happened about half an hour ago.

From: YN3 Robert A. Underwood, USN
Dear Sir or Madame,
I wish to file a complaint against one of your employees. Sadly, I
don’t remember her name, but she was oriental, short, and had long
pigtails. Yesterday afternoon around 4:30 PM I entered the barber
shop to get a haircut. When I sat down and she asked me what I
would like, I told her, “The same thing only shorter, taper the
back, off the ears…” and she proceeded to cut my hair.
As she started, I asked her, “When you’re done, is this going to
look like a military haircut, or a real haircut?”
She told me, “It’ll look like a real haircut. You enter a military
barber shop, that’s what you’ll always get. Why do you ask?”
I replied, “It’s something I always ask a new barber—I want to
make sure I get a civilian haircut instead of a military one.”
She continued to cut my hair until she was done, and when she
handed me the mirror, she asked me, “How do you like it?”
I told her, “I don’t; it’s too military-looking.”
“Well, what did you expect?” she asked.
“I wanted the hair to be a little longer on the sides.”
I gestured to my bangs—of which I now no longer have—and was
about to mention that I wanted them to stay, but before I could say
anything, she replied, “You wanted a real haircut, I gave you a
real haircut.”
We went over to the register and as I paid her, I proceeded to
explain that a real haircut is a civilian haircut—not
military—and she explained that when someone asks for a real
haircut, they mean a military one. I pointed out to her that I
specifically asked for a civilian one, and then she bursts out in
anger with, “You’re giving me a hard time and I don’t have to take
it! Just take your money and go!”
I paused in shock at this statement. I hadn’t even raised my voice
or got an attitude with her. When I recovered (quite quickly) I
responded with, “I’m not giving you a hard time; I’m explaining
what I wanted.”
As I said this, she gave me my change, and when I was done
speaking, she said, “Go! Just go!” I did, since it was clear she
didn’t want to listen.
At no point in our conversation had I ever given her any indication
that I was being rude or disrespectful. She chose to interpret what
I was saying however she wanted without listening to what I was
telling her. She jumped on me just because she messed up and
refused to admit it, or even be open to discussion about it.
I found her words despicable and without cause. I ask that you
please take whatever actions you feel appropriate to handle this
matter.
I am currently stationed at Dam Neck in Taylor Hall. My number is
492-7236. If you have any questions, feel free to call me before
1 PM—from then and probably for the rest of the day, I’ll be
unavailable. Or you can call me from 7:30-11:00 and 12:00-4:00 on
any other preceding weekday.
Very respectfully,
YN3 Robert A. Underwood, USN
I neglected to mention that, as I left the shop, I threw in a, "Wait 'til I piss you off on purpose!" I feel it's for the best.
For what it's worth, I didn't say it loud, but I think she heard me, even though she didn't say anything. How effective do you think I'll be? I know I shouldn't have gone easy on her, but this is her first offense. So I'll cut her some slack...this time.![Evil Grin 2](http://img318.imageshack.us/img318/4174/evilgrin9nu.gif)
