But his brother is much closer to his dad. I think she's always thought of Simon as 'her' child and Sam as 'his dad's' child, which tallies with what people are saying. I expect she's jealous that I'm taking him away from her, which along with all her own issues, is causing this ridiculous behaviour. But, I don't understand why she can't see that the way she's behaving will push him away more than anything else. The best way to make sure your kids still involve you in their lives is to be nice to them! Treat them with love and respect and say how nice it is to see them instead of how long it's been since you last saw them. That's what my parents do.
Plus, shouldn't she be pleased that he has a partner who loves him and who he loves and is happy with? Shouldn't that be what parents want for their children?
