We've been together for a year and 3 months, and were best friends for a year before that, and I've known him for ages - she knows it's serious, that we're moving in together and long term plan on getting married. Perhaps that's the problem - it's the most serious relationship he's ever had, so I suppose I'm the most serious threat that she's ever had.
That's interesting what you said about the subliminal aspect of her behaviour, I never thought of it that way before, but it makes a lot of sense. But you're right, she's just going to have to get used to the fact he's got other priorities now.
