Even more annoying.... was that the ACPI kicked in during normal windows mode setup portion... I cracked the shites and disassembled laptop and gave the whole fan assembly a bloody good clean out and replaced the heat sink thermal paste. Then it had the audacity to tell me that it thought I was trying to upgrade the whole OS not cancel the stuffed up XP Pro upgrade so it thought I was installing XP Home upgrade. This all meant that the stupid Dell CD key didn't work. Anyhow, I just did a dodgy and will run the cd key changer afterwards so it all matches and works fine. But it is so slow and I am tired and need to go to bed coz I gotta return this in the morning... I hate windows and I hate this damned dell laptop. It must have been assembled by a manufacturing robot that was possessed by the Robot Devil!
