Hutchison Telecom if you don't know... or also known as Orange Mobile.
Seriously, it would have been better if I went outside and banged my head against a brick wall for 10 minutes. It would also have been more enjoyable.
I have a Windows Mobile phone. It's not an always on phone like your standard nokia, sony erricson or whatever. So it would take exactly 40 minutes to get an MMS. Why? Because Three's system reverts to SMS Push for MMS to deliver it after a 40 minute time out from trying the normal way. Armed with this information and what was needed to fix it, ie: they needed to change my messaging profile for my account which takes 2 minutes at most, I proceeded to call and explain the situation and call and call and call. Each and every time they would blame the phone and say it was faulty. I even found empirical proof of the error and solution and that customers prior to myself had had this resolved. I told them where to find this proof, but the response was "Sir, if other customers on Three had had this problem it would be logged in our system. Your phone is faulty, would you like to send it in for repair?" I escalated it twice and both times I had to call up because the "Technicians" had found no fault so closed the case and didn't bother to call me about it.
Finally I found a guy through the Aussie tech forums at www.whirlpool.net.au who actually worked on the Three network here in OZ and he fixed it in 2 seconds flat. Instant MMS now. So I ring Three customer service back, explain what twats they are, that there is a fix and that they should make a bloody note of this because if they don't someone else will be banging their head against a brick wall. I have no idea if they did or if they just put me down as a nutjob and to ignore my comments.
