It's Christmas EVE officially here in the states, and I'm off to Mum's for the weekend to share in the festivities instead of sitting alone in an empty house... yeah, not a bad thing. :)
So, Merry Christmas to all! Though Jesus was probably really born in Spring, it's a blessing to get to celebrate His birth on Monday! Whatever your Christmas festivities may be, may they be blessed!
Yesterday (23rd) was my fiance's birthday. YAY! The local "indie" theatre plays old Christmas movies, so we went and took one in, today. Tmra, I have to be up at 7am (ugh) to be at Church.. Then? My baby brother comes home from university for the week! YAY! I haven't seen him in SIX MONTHS. Then, we're off to the stepgrandparents for Christmas Eve where the kids will exchange gifts, and we'll see what the stepgrandparents are giving all of us.
Christmas morning we'll get up a nice late time since all of us are now grown. We'll open gifts and chat under the tree, then run to the stepgreatgrandmother's for lunch. After that, we're free for the rest of the day since we're such a crazy blended family. My stepbrother and stepsister will run off to their mother's festivities, and my fiance will come over so we can exchange gifts. Then, I'll come home, and eagerly wait for my father to get back into town in a few days. He's in Florida with our family for Christmas. Then, my brother and I are going to see HIS dad for a few days since we haven't seen one another since my brother's high school graduation. He may not be my biological father, but he was good to me when I was little, and I still love him and his wife.
What are YOU doing for Christmas?
