It's halfway through Xmas day as I write this so we're well into the swing of things here
Last night we all went over to my mum and dad's place for christmas eve dinner. Natasha brought Daniel her b/f along as well this year. My brother Gavin was there with his new wife Denelle (married last march) and Denelle is now 8 months pregnant so much of the talk was about that major event! (it'll be the first 'official' grandkid as Natasha of course came 'ready made' with Raisa when I got married. My mum loves her like her own though which is great of course!...) We don't know if it's a girl or boy yet as Denelle wants to be surpised. Overall it was good because it was the first time all 8 of us have been together for months and months.
Today is quiet, because now Natasha is over at Daniels family for breakfast/lunch (there's about 50 in his immediate family so it takes a while to get through everything at their place it seems!) and Raisa is currently cooking a roast duck for dinner, so I'm keeping out of the way here on the net! Later today we'll have a bunch of fellow Ukrainian friends over for dinner as they don't have other family here either in Australia.
The 2006 'Loot List' so far is:
>> 5 books - 3x Jack Aubrey "Master and Commander" series - only 8 to go before I have all 20 in the series now! I also got Kim Stanley Robinson's "40 days of rain" and "50 below zero"
>> A new shaver
>> Bottle of Bundaberg rum (arrrgghh me hearties)
