Soooo SWEET! Love it when guys get it right!
Advice? Start early. As soon as they set the date, they have to tell you. That's when to get the ball rolling. Biggest expenses will be the reception, the flowers, and the dress. Those are the things that need to be dealt with first... after CELEBRATING, of course!!
Book the ceremony location, reception hall, rentals and caterer ASAP. Once those are out of the way, it's a MUCH easier ride. I've gotten those done, and now I'm just trying to take care of my dress, and pick the perfect bridesmaids gowns. It's a LOT less stressful.
Make sure the flowers you want are in season... if they aren't, you'll have to do some shuffling, and it's better to do that earlier than later. (I had that issue)
Tell 'em to figure out where they want to honeymoon and for how long ASAP so they can inform their bosses (once they've set the date, of course).
Also: Remember it's your daughter's wedding. So, let her have a say! :) That's been my biggest issue with my mum is that she's very particular, and sometimes forgets which one of us is getting married.
This is so cool! I love having multiple marriages on the sev board! *sniff* makes it sooo sweet! Congrats to your daughter and to your family! Sounds like you like the bloke, and that's a plus!
