They do have the setup where the phone goes through the car's radio system, so you don't have anything in your ear and you still have two hands on the wheel. It doesn't cost much, either.
I don't know if that would help... I still think it's more of a distraction than just listening to music on the radio, as you have to pay careful attention to a conversation in order to have a coherent reply ready.
But then I'm extremely prejudiced against cell phones and get annoyed with other people when they go off in a restraunt, the movies, etc. Or worse when I'm working the cash register and they try to place an order and talk on the blasted device at the same time, as if the stupid register wasn't difficult enough to operate...
