I'm sure this is half the point, but it sounds like the guy who's put it together has never actually heard the songs. Well, Common People - I don't know the second too well and Wish You Were Here I'm too distracted by the painfully bad backing music which is completely butchering Pink Floyd.
But yeah, I know that he's not supposed to be actually getting the rhythms right (which makes Common People particularly bad to listen to, because it has quite an irregular rhythm.) But the phrases don't even start at the right point in the music.
