It's age old tradition that boilers will be fixed as the weather improves, air con will break during the heatwave and schools turn the radiators on/off on pre-determined days in the autumn and spring, without actually paying attention to the weather.
How do you heat water at home if you don't have boilers?
And whilst I can see why central heating's not hugely necessary, presumably there are times in the winter when it gets cold enough to justify warming your house up - do you just have electric heaters or something for then?
