actually
working
in
their
field?
for those who went to Uni/College etc of course, but at any rate, who is working in the field/area they set out to do so.
Of course this doesn't apply if you're still at school I suppose...
anyway, me, I trained as a teacher and am working as such so my life at least is boring and predictable in that regard
However when I talked to my careers counsellor way back in year 10 (15 years old) I originally wanted to be an astronomer... but my math and physics weren't good enough. Then I originally started at Uni in a Bachelor of Crafts degree where I was going to be a jeweller. Tried to change to Graphic Design but was disallowed and eventually flunked out of first year of the jewellery course. After 14 months as 2IC of the fruit an dveg dept at Coles Supermarket I went back to Uni, did a BA in Social Sciences, then a Grad Dip in Education and 20 years later here I am...! I colour stuff...
