chickens...
What they did was really really carefully add food colorants into the eggs that lay hatching. The chickens that hatched were perfectly healthy, but all had ridiculous colours. They hatched like 500 of those.
Pretty funny.
Of course by the time they grew up they were normal coloured again. "Of course I'm paranoid, everyone's trying to kill me."
