I just watched a video about the Killer NIC yesterdayevening!
I agree with Sevquis that it's a waste of money.
Sure, a separate processor and stack for handling network traffic will alleviate the processor a bit, so more frames per second is possible, but between 60 fps and 65fps there's not a hell of a lot of difference.
Besides, you're better off searching for a DSL modem that has a decent processor and some good networking software to minimize your ping.
I changed from a Thomson Speedtouch 716 v5 modem with about 42ms ping to a 3COM 3CRWDR200B-72 and now I have 29ms ping.
And to answer your question.. no it is not wise to make a loadbalancing or bonded network connection since it is not the mbps of gps of the connection that matters. That just means how much data can fit through - games usually use a low amount of data but it needs to be passed as fast as possible.
I wonder how much a killer nic costs..
