I'm very careful with credit and debit cards. I'm obsessive, even, about ensuring they are in their proper places. So, imagine my shock today when my husband says my card is not in my wallet. I asked him to get it for me, and he could not find it. It was just... gone.
I freaked out, thought of where I had last seen it, last night at the movie theaters. We tried calling the theater to no avail, and finally I called the 1800 number to cancel the card. I won't get a new one for 7 to 10 days, which is WRETCHED for someone who does as much driving as I do.
I'm sick in bed, so my hubby went to the store for me to pick up some medicine, and I'm laying in bed when I hear my phone go off in the other room. I run for it, recognizing the ring, and ask him what is going on...
He found my card in his wallet.
Lesson: Check your husband's wallet before canceling the card.
