I'm kind of angry, as the topic title might give away. Why? Well!
A couple of years ago, we had a cat. We had him chipped and everything, just one thing, when we moved - we forgot to change the address on the chip. At some point, the cat disappeared after a night walk. We assumed he was dead, because we called all the animal shelters and all the animal organizations, reported him missing, gave the chip number and everything.
Long story short: THEY PUT HIM TO SLEEP! Because when the address wasn't correct, they didn't bother to check the system for the chip number.
AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course we're looking to file a ton of complaints against the organisation now, but that won't bring Spooky back!
I have seriously no words for this. Aren't those people supposed to CARE about animals? Is it really THAT hard to run a number through a missing pets data bank!?!!! If people had an animal chipped, it's obvious they cared!
