The most interesting
The most interesting thing I have found about cahtper eleven is that Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) can be caused due to bacterial, viral, fungal and or parasitic invasion. The infection can ascend to the cervix, the endometrium, the fallopian tubes and ovaries. And that the CDC stated that more than one million women experience an episode of acute PID a year. The fact that this condition goes untreated and unrecognized by women and their healthcare providers two-thirds of the time is amazing. Since symptoms can range from abdominal pain, fever and pain in urination and irregular menstral bleeding, it is strange that this many women go without treatment. The serious complications that can arise are scar tissue formation, infertility, and chronic pelvic pain, not to mention ectopic pregnancies. All of these are serious and should be prevented so encouraging women to seek medical treatment should be something highly encouraged.
