Person A had a fight with company B, and person A sought my advise because I study law. By law, company B was right though, and person A was wrong. Which I told this to A.
A: "Well... can't you do something about that? Otherwise I'll have to go to a lawyer."
(Well you can go to a lawyer, and he'll tell you the same thing. And that's what happened.)
Another pretty stupid thing was with one of my roomies, (R=roomie, I=me)
R: So, you're Russian?
I: Yeah, I grew up there, went to school there and everything.
R: So... Can you actually speak Russian?
I: Yeah, I grew up there, went to school there and everything.
R: So... Does that mean you can read Russian?
I: Yeah I went to school there for a few years and I took Russian as a subject for my final exams.
R: Does that mean you can write Russian too?
