I think i'm more of a cucumber then a potato...
So whats your favourite TV show? I, as of late (over the last year or so), have starting to watch a lot of TV. As where I am i have craphouse reception (and the terrible state of the major tv-networks here), means i normally torrent most of the stuff that i watch.

But i just thought I'd post a bit about some of the shows i watch, and why i enjoy them...

Lost:
Love, this show! *nods*... I love it partly because, it has a sci-fi sort of feel to it, but so many people watch it, and not just sci-fi fans, its great. Its so interesting, i love how they've setup the whole flash-back aspect of the show, its so great for character development, in a way that makes you feel a lot more connected to everyone, then more traditional ways of character development. I listen to the podcasts for the show, which most weeks has discussion with Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof (creators/writers), and they're just some of the wittiest people on the planet. These guys have just done a great job on the writing of this show, the entire plot of the show just takes twists and turns everywhere!

Supernatural:
This show is really quite good too. I'm not quite as into it as lost, so i haven't really looked at who writes it or anything. But the two main (brother) characters are just great. Den is the older very sarcastic brother, who though is a bit pig-headed quite a lot of the time, is probably my fav, just cause he is so sarcastic, funnie as...
Now with this show, the major plot at first is very intriguing, but they're done a few things along the way that i'm not sure was the best thing... But never the less, i love to turn all the lights out and watch this show late at night (the clown episode is scary as hell;))

Heroes:
I really enjoy watching this show. I'm a huge comic/cartoon type fan, love all the marvel movies that are coming out (spiderman3 is comin' out soon!). And all the powers that the diferent characters have is really good. The story line with this one is quite good (though very easy to guess ahead, i'm fairly sure i've figured out what'll happen at the end of the major plot they've got goin' at the moment). I really like some of the characters they've got here, Hiro (who can bend time and space)is great:D have to be my fav, such a funnie little guy. Matt the cop who can hear peoples thoughts is quite an interesting fellow. And Niki/Jessica is quite very interesting, this is the biggest thing in the show that i don't really know what they're doing with, should prove to be good.

Stargate (SG-1):
This latest season of Stargate (i really don't like Atlantis very much at all, I don't like this civillian type commander chick at all, nor do i really like the head military fellow, but the tech guy is great! I could almost watch the show just for him, except fot the fact that i hate the story line... I really only watch the first season, but 'eh, don't like it) has really suprised me actually. I thought they would have been starting to scrap the bottom of the barral for major story line (and infact i'm fairly sure i remember hearing that season 8 or 9, was gonna be the last). But yeah, i think they've done really well to come up with what they have. Its very interesting, and the couple of new characters they've introduced are quite entertaining.

Smallville:
Now Smallville is like a guilty pleasure for me. While i can sense were the show is trying to go with all its trust/anti-trust themes, i feel they almost come off as superficial. And maybe what brings me back to the show is my fascination for all things comic like:P. But i do enjoy the way Clark and Lex interact. Especially after quite a few seasons now, its quite interesting to watch. And i really love Michael Rosenbaum (Lex) as an Actor, extremely talented fellow. I'd love to see him in some other serious roles. The major downfall of this series in my opinion, is the on/off state of the overall story line (insanely irritating!).

Boston Legal:
Quite an amusing show this. Love the character interactions with this series. Characters Denny Crane, Alan Shaw and the rest of the firm make for such (lite) entertainment value. And i say lite because while its great fun to watch Alan just go on and on, with such brilliantly mused over arguments in the court. And watch Denny just run around with one thing on his mind, and clearly nothing in it. The thing that brings this show down... THE FIRM NEVER LOSES!!. Just once i'd love to see one of their clients get 25 to live!... But alas no *sigh*... And as i think back to the days of The Practice (Boston Legal being the spin-off result of, which i also watched), i find myself enjoying both shows fairly equally, but for completely opposite reasons. While The Practice made for some great drama out of its cases, Boston Legal makes for lite-hearted/witty banter out of them.

Dr Who:
Now i really enjoy the new series of Dr Who. When the old series got picked up again over here for the first time in about a decade around 5 years ago, i really tried to get into it. They started from the first season, and i watched it for about *thinks* must have ended up being about a season or so (watch an ep everyweek night, for a few months). And man, what a struggle to watch endure even that much of that rubbish!... (and i won't even go on about this Hartnell fellow! what a bumbling old fool! And that smug look/gesture he would always have, hands on chest holding onto the edges of his jacket, chin slightly raised, eyes semi-opened, as anyone asked him a question he thought was below him!! (well i guess i've gone on about him anyway.)...
But enough about that, i listed it cause i do watch the new series. I'm really starting to get behind this methodology of keeping a show fresh by swapping up the lead characters. I really loved the Doctor of season 1, and when they brought on the new one on for season 2, i really didn't think i was gonna like him much at all. But now! i can hardly remember liking the old doctor! Really do enjoy it quite a lot.

3rd Rock from The Sun / Curb Your Enthusiasm:
Now i wasn't going to mentioned the few sitcoms that i watch (i'll watch pretty much any sitcom you throw at me, if i'm around while its on). But i thought 3rd Rock, deserved a bit of a mention. Now i buy quite a lot of season DVDs. Counting up all my DVDs (i.e. every actual disc) i've got around 200. Which isn't all that impressive, i've seen bigger myself. But with all the DVDs that i buy, i make it a rule to never buy anything that isn't in 16:9 (wide;)). But 3rd Rock is the one show that makes me break that rule. I've got seasons 1-3 so far, and i'm gonna be gettin 4 shortly. But no other show makes me laugh as hard as this one does. Its just great (what i call) verbal slapstick. My favourite characters Dick (the High Commander) and Harry (the communications devise), just make me laugh so hard with everything they say and do!
Now Curb Your Enthusiasm, is the one other show that makes me break my 16:9 only rule. But this show is just to classic to go past! Now i wasn't really very into Seinfield (created by Larry David). But Larry David (you might say the show is about the daily annoyances of Larry) is just such a creak-up. I just love how he gets wound up about the smallest of things! (and if you were to talk to the girls i work with, they'd say i'm Larry with hair). My favourite episode involves the age old argument of putting something small in someone elses bin (like say an applecore or empty drink can) as you're walking though (your?) neighborhood.

The 4400 / Torchwood:
Two shows i'm trying to decide if i wanna start watching. Now i've just recently watch the first couple of episodes of both. Neither has grabbed me to any great degree straight off the bat. Anyone watch either of these shows? Do they get any better/worse as they go along?

And so yes! I watch a little bit of TV. But hey, there are people out there that watch a lot more i'm sure. But as soon as i start watching Jerry Springer, and Oprah, i'll seek professional help;).

Who's going to clear away the bodies...that's what I want to know.
