Can't help on the textboxes, but something like that seems it would be IE only anyway so... *shrugs*
I do have a friend who uses Opal and has both a header and a background, so I know it's possible. Not entirely sure how she's done it though. I could ask if you'd like, although I wouldn't want to trouble her too much for another week or so - I think after today she only has two exams left, but I'm not sure when they are.
