I agree with this article. However, does the fact that Flint was born oarseevs mean that he shouldn't be able to have an opinion as an Australian (however misguided that opinion may be)? Whether he was born in Indonesia or Australia is irrelevant, he's just as Australian as any other one. My parents were born oarseevs and are republican. I wouldn't tell them not to express their opinion just because they weren't born here.
