Hi all,for those thinking about a citinq: get one. It really is expensive, but it's worth it. Wacom has updated the citinq-line with higher resolution and so on, but I never felt like drawing on a low-res monitor (I own the 2010 Version of the 21 ). People always find something to moan, but they do it on a high level. If you want the highest resolution and best feeling ever buy paper and pens and turn the computer off. After years of painting with intuos 3 and 4 I sometimes miss these tablets though. Just like in traditional art where most of the artists use arms and hands, they're simply in the way sometimes when you paint. Working with a tablet eliminates this issue .I also have to say that the citinq sped up my work amazingly. It's like back in the days with good old paper: you can smash colors and lines (don't take that too literally!) and they really appear where you want it. For me it's the only way to be real . By the way: I also tested the smaller version and do not recommend it. Three palettes and there's no room for a painting left. Furthermore there's no place for your hand to rest. BUT! If you go to buy a citinq, go for an ergotron LX monitor arm additionally! Wacom redesigned their stands and I cannot speak about the new ones, but the old ones are really useless if you don't want to work almost vertical (you can't set it up vertically actually). The stand is too high for laying that thing down. The LX Arm can be seen in several youtube videos. You can place, angle and rotate the citinq just like there is no stand. Maybe you like to have a ceiling painting feel? Possible! Sometimes my neck hurts after hours and I can simply stand up and go on painting. Check it out.
