Our nearest famliy is 5 hours away, so we asked our best friends to watch DD until my parents could make the drive up here. However, since we knew they might not be available, our back up plan would have been to have DH stay with DD until my parents got up here; I would have just had to give birth by myself, since our hospital doesn't allow kids under 16 in the room during labor/delivery.
