If you've never had the wonderful optnrpuoity to experience dura matter up close it is FASCINATING!! The dura bility (ha!) of it is spectacular! Yet it isn't more than the thickness of a sheet of paper! Really not even that think! And if you seperate dura from the arachnoid it is truely incredible the way that our body is designed!! I actually have some pictures of a sheep's brain from class that illustrates the strength rather well if you would ever like to see!!
