You're so right. No, ours is usually nice to folks, she used to figure skate herself, she knows its hard so even when people fall she goes like "Oh oh oh that's such a shame, I think she just blew her chance at a (...) medal" or "Oh no, that's a really painfull fall, but look at how well she's recovered!"
The only thing is that she tends to assume things. Like, she assumed that Plushenko is going to stop after these olympic games just because he's been ill a lot last year and because he got married. The man's 23! Isn't that a bit early? To stop, not to get married. There's been a Russian woman who figure-skated till she was 32 and she used to take silvers and golds all the time even at that age. And surely Plushenko can be rated with the top of all times, so I'd not be surprised if he stayed till the next olympics. I'd even not be surprised if he stayed beyond them.
As for his wanting 4 kids, well technically that only takes a half an hour all of them together, I mean men get off easy making kids. And he makes enough money for his wife to not have to work a 40 hour week, so it's not like he'd have to stay home to change the diapers.
That's just an example, she does it all the time, starting sentences with "I expect..."
As for Gedevanishvili, I think I know why they learned to pronounce it... A month or two ago we had the world's championships (I think the world's anyway, people from all over the world were there) juniors figure skating women. And Gedevanishvili skated really, REALLY well there and all the commentors on the different channels were like, "Oh I should practice her name, that's gonna be the next world's champion in a few years"
