He gave an interview about it today. He said lots of people had broken limbs and blood was all over the place, but he's unhurt - thank heavens....Well at least nobody got killed, that must put his mind at ease. He's got these world's championships coming up in a month.
Yeah, glad he's okay no one was killed...ooh, scary. *shudders*
Slutskaya came in third... Too bad :(
Yeah, that made me sad. She was so disappointed, too. No sign of that sunny smile of hers. :(
I don't know...I think maybe I would have switched Slutskaya and Cohen as far as placing goes, but then I still don't quite get the new judging system. I'm getting better at it, but I don't like the 2-minute bonus; that seems so unnecessary. I didn't think the Japanese girl beat either of them artistically, but then again she did skate a clean program.
Your Kwan-replacing girl did well, but my she needs to loose weight. I don't get how she gets off the ice at all, having to lift all those kilograms!
Teehee. Generally, I don't like to criticize people for being overweight, but...it's true.
Did you see Gedevanishvili? She's GOOOOOOD. And actually Georgian, not just skating for Georgia. Although she trains in Moscow of course.
Yeah, she was great. And her last name is so musical-sounding. I was impressed by the American commentators being able to pronounce it (they must have practiced).
Speaking of American commentators, we have one named Dick Button and...well, let's just say his first name is appropriate. He's way too harsh, and sometimes I would just like to tell him to shut the f*** up. I wish he'd retire; he's been commentating for years. Sometimes I wish I could mute the commentary but keep the music.
I also don't like the way the American camera operators tend to zoom way in on a person's face when they begin their program or wait for their scores or stand on the podium. I don't need to see every pore on a person's face; I can trust it's all there!
