Here I am going to have to take some exception to this work.It is atocogepils for what is a bias in Tolkien's work, and one which I feel only gives credit to the claims that Tolkien's work is Racist, when the issue is far more difficult and complex than applying our modern conceptions of racism to Tolkien's work.Ultimately, yes, Tolkien's work has racist elements. They are not intentionally racist elements though, which makes rather a lot of difference. You needed to emphasize the fact that Tolkien was creating a mythology for England, and that England is, and always has been, a land whose population originates from Anglo-Saxons, Celts, and other fair-skinned types. The appellation of Aryan itself is not even wrong. That word arises, in a racist context, from our modern understanding of racism, and connections to Hitler's (rather poor understanding and application of) white-race. The word Aryan really has no bearing upon Anglo-Saxons in this context. And To get back to History The enemies of Christendom's Northern Europe, and England, have traditionally been Non-White.So To complain that Tolkien is being racist is no different from claiming that Muslims are racist for depicting Europeans as The enemy, or that Europeans are bad. To recognize these critics of Tolkien's work as being racist is to acknowledge the worst kind of Post-Modernist revisionism. And from reading your work, you should be above this sort of thing. It is w great waste of your talent to lower yourself to defending Tolkien from something that is a contrivance on the part of Multi-Culturalists who would have us destroy all vestiges of Cultural wherever it is found (Europe, Africa, China, South America, etc.). These people tend to shit all over Europeans for their colonialist heritage in an attempt to placate their own guilty consciences for this heritage. It is no longer our job to apologize for the behavior of our ancestors if we have recognized their mistakes and have sought to do justice for them. This does NOT mean that we should try to alter our understanding or presentation of History for that fact, though. There happen to be real differences in Cultures, and recognizing these should not be wrong. Nor should it be wrong to present the reality of these cultures and be able to appreciate it. Even when this means that appreciating that reality means an appreciation of the stark realities of those cultures. There may be a great deal that is wrong with Tolkien's views of the world that arose from his association with england during the decline of its Empire. But don't apologize to others for this if they attempt to tear down his creation based upon some attempt to put such cultural works out of sight because they are inconvenient for a Post-Modernist and Multi-culturalist who would have people deny their heritage.
