Hello; I work with an orthopedic suoegrn and we do many Endoscopic carpal tunnel release surgeries (ECTR) which is for CTS, and to my knowledge no infections have been reported. There are a few more precautions to help out with your condition. One is reduce or limit you reputation of movement and possibly change your ergonomics at work, especially if you do a lot of typing.
