I am glad you raised
I am glad you raised this qioutsen Jamie! You are correct that word by word it is two hundred + five. However, it is common to simplify two hundred fifty (两百五十. 十 is ten) to two hundred five(两百五). Sort of like in English, when you say two fifty, we know it's two (hundred) fifty.两百零五 is two hundred and five. 零 means 0. Please check out these posts for pronunciations of 十 and 零.Let me know if you have any other qioutsens!
