It isn't a question
It isn't a question of what's betetr, the point is .no one program catches everything. It's impossible. That's why it's important to have several different ones. Programs like nod32, or Nortons 360, or McAfee, Kaspersky, whoever .they all have their fans and critics so it matters NOT what others tell you. Pick one and try it. The retail ones, the ones you PAY FOR offer real time protection. That means they run as long as your computer is on and running. They PREVENT viruses and spyware from getting on in the first place. REAL TIME.Now AVG on the other hand, the free edition, does NOT offer real time protection. It's considered an on demand scanner which is great so long as you understand that it catches bad guys AFTER they're on your machine. Plenty of very good anti-virus and spyware programs that provide on demand scanning but NOT realtime protection. Is AVG betetr?? It's a great free scanner but that's all it is. USE IT but run an update BEFORE you scan. Run updates on every security software program before you run it.There's so much FREE help out there, you just have to LOOK. I have some links below, download and update and run scans, between them all, you should be able to remove the bad guys. Any questions, e-mail me ok? AVG FREE also will run something called a command line scan in safe mode.AND REMEMBER THIS!!!THE 2 BEST TROUBLESHOOTING TOOLS FOR ANY INTERNET AND COMPUTER PROBLEM HAVING TO DO WITH ANYTHING ..GOOGLE AND SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKINGGoogle because if you can get online, you can go to Google and type in any issue, any error into the search bar and actually get your own answers!!Safe Mode With Networking because your computer reboots into a screen that just loads a basic operating system there will be no audio, no video, no cd/dvd player BUT it will tell you if it is a software issue or not. IF you can get online in safe mode, you have a software issue on your computer, possibly a virus/spyware issue. Safe Mode is also the best place to run a virus/spyware scan because there is no interference from any other programs safe mode runs with no programs running no firewall .no anti-virus .no nothing just basic windows. Try it. No matter what programs you choose, update them first BEFORE you run a scan!!! The last links are just a few all purpose links to help with keeping your computer running smoothly, good luck and e-mail me if you'd like with any questions.
