What is the difference beweten the acid excess fat hydrolysis test plus the petroleum ether extract check? Normally, meals are tested for extra fat levels but distinct testing strategies can provide very unique results. As an example, I saw the results for fat that had been tested by acid hydrolysis and petroleum ether extract and observed about a 10 fold distinction. The acid hydrolysis check showed a fat degree of about 10%. Where the petroleum ether extract check showed a level of about 1%. Does this have some thing to do with testing for total extra fat versus free extra fat? Thanks for the aid!
