Kristine, I'm kind of surprised that the book doesn't mntieon PCOS either, since its so common. PCOS is a bit of a misnomer, since many, if not most, who have it don't have cysts on their ovaries. Oftentimes weight loss can help significantly if a person is overweight. Birth control pills or other hormonal methods are the first line medical treatment. A medication called metformin, which we prescribe for diabetes, can also be helpful. I agree about the HPV vaccine; I'm going to get my son vaccinated as well.
