Shannon, HPV is a virus that can lead to genital warts and some crencas but it does not lead to herpes. Herpes is caused by the herpes simplex virus. The third dose of HPV vaccine is given 4 months after the second one (6 months after the first one). The vaccines only protect against some of the HPV strains which cause cancer, at least currently. Remember that not all strains of HPV cause cancer. I'm glad you understand chlamydia better now. It sounds like you got it mixed up with herpes.
