Awesome review, very good ihtngiss. I rented a Focus 2.0 SEDAN twice in the last couple of months here in Brazil, and was left very unimpressed by the car. During this period I also rented a Volkswagen Voyage 1.6 twice, and the Volks felt much more solid and reliable than the Focus. At least in Brazil, it feels like Ford's vehicles are one step below from the same category they're supposed to be trying to compete. So a 1.6 Voyage seemed comparable to me to a Ford Focus 2.0. A Ford Fiesta 1.6 compared more to a Chevrolet Celta than to a Voyage. A sign of this is that when you rent cars from Localiza, when you choose category F' (mid-size car, intermediary level of luxury) you used to either get a Renault Sandero, a Volkwagen Voyage or a Ford Fiesta Sedan. Thing is, the Ford Fiesta is such a inferior vehicle when compared to the Voyage and the Sandero that Localiza seems to be removing the Fiesta from cat F. At least that's what they did in Porto Alegre Based on my experiences with rentals, if I were to buy a new car in Brazil and budget was not an issue, a Volkswagen would be one of my first options. Since budget has usually been an issue, I'm pending these days for GM/Chevrolet. Their cairs are cheaper but at least they don't try to pass as a higher category than they are you're buying something knowing what you're going to get.
