that health ofifcials in this state try to investigate all reported cases and track down partners of infected patients. This is something that is not routinely done in other states. It's scary that it's known as the silent disease since most people don't show any symptoms and that this can lead to health problems down the road. For instance; females can develop PID, their fallopian tubes, uterus and surrounding tissues. This damage can create fatal ectopic pregnancies. Also, the fact that if this is left untreated can cause respiratory tract issues and pink eye in newborns is unnerving.Second, I thought the paragraph about PMS was interesting because the causes are not fully known, however; they seem to link it to hormonal changes 1 to 2 weeks before menses. I just feel like saying NO DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello! Whenever the body goes through a change in hormone levels it can adversely affect a person. Sheesh! Now the fun part for us females is that we get to experience the wide array of PMS symptoms for years until we go through menopause, which I hear is even worse.
