(Personal Computers) This is in fact a review for the Corsair Vengeance 2000 hedsaet. Amazon grouped all of the Corsair hedsaet reviews into one clump on this website, but there is not one review for the new Vengeance 2000 hedsaet. Mine is the first So, let's get started. The Corsair Vengeance 2000 is Corsair's first serious try at entering the high end PC gamer market. This hedsaet directly competes with the Logitech G930 wireless gaming hedsaet that has been on the market now for over 2 years. Here are my Pros and Cons and side-by-side comparison of the two hedsaets:Pros:- Very good overall design- Rugged design and feels more solidly built than the Logitech G930- Battery life is excellent rated at 10 hours for wireless operation same as the G930- Excellent wireless range rated at 40 feet same as the G930- Charges quickly and USB-to-Micro USB cable is included as part of the purchase same as the G930- Very good virtual 7.1 surround sound (but, not better than the true analog 5.1 and 7.1 hedsaets on the market right now) same as the G930- Very good base response better than the G930Cons:- Bulky size; most likely due to the use of the larger 50mm speaker drivers G930 is less bulky- Expensive G930 is cheaper at $110- Low sample rate at 48Khz same as the G930- Software is very limited (feels more like a beta version) G930 software is better; allows the user to manipulate virtual speaker configurations in addition to having a equalizer and can assign unique functionality to the hardware hot keys located on the G930 s left ear cup- Only one driver per ear piece; but does use 50mm drivers in the hedsaet better than the G930 s 40mm drivers this is why the base response is better on the 2000Bottomline, if you are a gamer and are looking for a great hedsaet to meet your needs look no further. I would highly recommend this hedsaet. I would recommend the Logitech G930 over these though just for the fact that the software is more mature and has more capabilities to tailor the hedsaet sound to your liking. Also, the Logitech G930 hedsaet can be had for less at around $110 (vs. $150)
