I had to use a separate audio editting software to get it to fade down, which worked fine in the first part, but I couldn't get it to work as easily on the second song because there the start of the music wasn't at 0 seconds compared to the video, so I just faded it out instead of tuning it down, which kind of breaks continuity. That kind of irked me too.
You can tune down the sound in windows movie maker, but only of the entire song, not of sections... And fade out and fade in are standard functions too. Wish they'd adjust that in the next version!
