So, there's a group here who consider themselves professional theater because they can get some equity folks in every so often, but really are less professional than the community theaters around here. That established, I wasn't planning on auditioning for their season. So, why do I have two songs under 32 bars and a headshot and resume? Simple. Hubby made me.
That's right, he made me. Ok, he didn't MAKE me. But he did encourage me to try, so I am going out there to try. That's one of the crazy things about musical theater; you don't know what's gonna happen. You never do. You could go in there, nail the audition, and never get a call. You can go in, botch the audition, and end up a lead! It's all twisty turny crazy, and yet here I am again, prepped to go over the precipice.
Will keep you informed, I guess, the two people reading this. :) I still love this community, even if it's grown up and lost its cool factor some because we're all too busy with jobs and families and bills to come post. Haha. Ah, life.
