I'm

There's now a realistic prospect that there will be snow on the ground on my birthday, one week from now. Never thought I'd see that happen! (Though to be fair, I vividly recall it snowing the day before my 21st in 2006 - and seeing the day in in below freezing temperatures as we were shooting scenes for our film that night.)
The freezing temperatures are predicted to last at least until the middle of April. The weather right now is basically like it should be in early February (but with a LOT more snow than we usually get, 2009-2011 notwithstanding) except it's light until about 6:30 every night! And with the clocks going forward on Sunday, that's set to get even later and weirder!
We've been very fortunate in our city and hardly had any snow. And it really is that localised, as the surrounding area has had far more. It's been sodding windy though - gale force winds aren't pleasant when it's this cold, and last Sunday they were making the +1 temperature feel like -8! But still nothing like as bad as the areas where villages were cut off for days, thousands went 4-5 days without power, thousands of lambs are being lost, livestock buried under snow etc.
What's it like south of the Equator? I know that most of Europe and the US is having this incredibly long winter and heavily delayed spring - is your summer dragging on?
