If you're ...
in the Netherlands, downloading is legal, period, only uploading isn't. Then you can use torrent clients (for example uTorrent or Vuze) or p2p transfer programs like eMule, eDonkey etc to search for music you like and download it. If you do the latter, you search for the files directly, if you do the former, you can use google and such to search for the torrent files of the music you want to download, load the torrent files into the torrent client, and watch the music stream in.

The important part, however, is to disable the uploading, since that IS illegal in the Netherlands.


I'm not aware if there's any other countries that allow downloading the way the Netherlands do. I know the other European countries are all much stricter.
