they tried just about everything
oracle did all they could to keep her there, even the client-side boss' said we have work for her until June and really really really need Raisa's skills, but then the bigwigs in central (Raisa is working for the Government dept of 'Office of Shared Services" - payroll for gov't employees in other words - as a contractor through Oracle) said nope.

All the contractors - about 20 people - got the boot. It's all part of the Liberal State Gov'ts 3% cost cutting measure thanx to Labor's 11 years of profligate spending. All Gov't depts have been ordered to cut 3% and so contractors of course are the first to go.
I colour stuff...
