We got bees!.. or rather *had* bees as they're gone now.
I came home today and found this bee swarm had landed on our palm tree. The kids in the street were checking it out and the cat was giving it the eye as well to see what all the commotion was about
Anyway, so I did a ring around of the various bee experts that come to take such things away and (not surprisingly actually) none of them wanted to come out at almost 6.00pm to deal with it. The best one offered was to turn up at 10.00am tomorrow - when of course we'll all be at work
So I called an exterminator and sure enough he cruised out inside of 20 minutes, gave them all spray with industrial strength bug killer which knocked them all down instantly and charged me $110.00 for what was essentially about 30 seconds work.
My neighbour was nice though. When he saw how much I was being slogged by the bug guy he came up with $50.00 to help cover the costs as he said it was affecting his house as well.
