Well definitely install Spybot and I would also recommend Windows Defender and SuperAntiSpyware as two active system monitoring software to help protect against the nasties that try to come in through IE without you knowing. Spybot comes from Safer Networking so be careful when you download it as many many dodgy sites out there have similar sounding names in an attempt to confuse you and make you download the wrong software. This has happened too several of my customers who have then had to call me out to fix the problem.

Well, I'll have a go at Spybot then. Not using IE much, but I assume the same warning goes for FF? Or does IE run processes in the background that could provide possible access?

There are FOUR brain cells!
