And this from a "economic conservative" *cough*bull-shit*cough*...I'll tell you what, I'm really not a big fan of the swings and backflips of this government and the people in it...with one hand they're being completely over the top nanny-state wanting to filter the fuck out of our internet, and with the other handing out billions of dollars with an off the cuff remark to "spend it wisely"...wouldn't have been all that hard to rub two brain cells together to come up with a plan that busted the economy through any number of community initiatives (so they could be seen to not just be putting the money into the hands of the "rich"), which used Australian companies (created jobs) to source labour/supplies...
I can see how this easy grand is going to help out those who usually find it a little heard around Christmas (I know a grand would come in handy right about now)...but people who are just sitting round surfing all afternoon is rubbish...
Who's going to clear away the bodies...that's what I want to know.
