yeah, so there i am in class telling a couple of kids off for mucking around in class as one is making abgrab for thet others pen, when the pen suddenly snaps in two!! Don't have a clue how or why but anyway, being one of those pens with a liquid ink inside (rather than a felt ink-thingy) the ink goes EVERYWHERE!!!! - over the maps on their desk (can't replace those either), over their work, over the kids in front and OVER MY PANTS! - aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrggghhhhhhhhh - you little bastards!!!
anyway, now I have deep blue in all over the legs of my fawn coloured country road ( = expensive!!) pants. I tried to wipe it off a bit but just succeeded in rubbing it in even more.
So, what to do? Well since I had a free lesson next up I just signed out of school and high tailed it down to the local shopping center/ mall doing the 15 - 20 minute drive in about 12 minutes and headed straight for the country road section of Myers (major retail shop chain here). Grabbed a pair of pants exactly the same as I had before, dashed into the change room to check that they fit ok, grabbed a new shirt on the way through as well, as my current shirt had a few spots on it as well (should come out and not a biggie if they don't), all was ok, so off to pay ($135.00 all up) and then dashed back to school and up to Home Economics to give the new pants a quick iron (year 9 girls thought that was hilarious!) and then down to the staff toilets to change everything and off to the next class
all in one hour flat!
the little joys of teaching are without number... :+/ I colour stuff...
