I wasn't, then I saw the trailer and I must say it looks like it might be in a different class to the last couple of films. It looks quite high budget to me, and I like the look of the crew. From the picture I saw, it looks like Spock might be played by the same guy as Sylar in Heroes, which would be cool, as I think he's great.
I never was a TOS fan, I grew up with Next Gen and was a DS9 and VOY fan, but I'm thinking that might well be a help rather than a hindrance when it comes to enjoying the film, as I won't really know when they make errors with continuity etc ;-)
