Thanks for your response.
The thing is, I've been there a lot of times when she's done this to him, and so I know, first hand, what she's like.
Plus, to be honest, I feel like family - we've been together for ages, we're buying a house together as soon as we can afford it, and it affects me when he's upset, I hate seeing him like that.
It's great to get people's opinions though, so thank you for your advice :-)
