on that note - what I did... 1st proposal - warm spring night, meal at Perth's most ritzy restaurant of the time (Garden Restaurant at the Parmelia Hilton hotel) and then up to King's Park lookout near the war memorial so we had the whole city center/downtown lit up behind us like a christmas tree. fast forward 12 years to second proposal - walking down Hay street in city center from shopping trip, bucketing down with rain, freezing cold, talking about Rome Hotels and which to choose, get the idea in head and say to Raisa "we could probably get married before we go Rome you know", and Raisa says ... OK... and here we are! good to see the ol' romance gene hasn't given up on me huh?
